Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe

2 T olive oil
2 c onion, minced
2 cloves garlic
2 c ketchup
2 c pineapple juice
1 T molasses
1 T Kelly’s Habanero Honey
1 t ginger
2 T Kelly’s Habanero Jelly

3 bowls

1. Heat olive oil in saucepan
2. Once pan is hot, add onion and garlic
3. When garlic and onion is translucent, add ketchup and pineapple juice
4. Mix, then add molasses
5. Mix, then let mixture simmer 30 min
6. Once sauce is thick, separate into three bowls
7. Sweet BBQ Sauce: add honey and ginger to first bowl, then mix
8. Spicy BBQ Sauce: add habanero jelly to second bowl, then mix
9. Standard BBQ Sauce: leave third bowl, as is

Barbecue Chicken Recipe:

chicken legs (or tenders or breasts, if preferred)
olive oil
salt and pepper


1. Preheat grill, high heat
2. Rinse and pat dry chicken legs
3. Remove skin, if desired
4. Coat with olive oil, salt and pepper
5. Place chicken legs onto hot grill
6. Let one side cook for 7 min, then turn chicken over and begin basting with various sauces
7. Continue basting and cooking for 7 min on each side for a total of 28 min
8. Remove from grill and let cool 10 min
9. Place on a platter and serve
