STRAWBERRY HABANERO GRILLED CHEESE

If you haven't tried Kelly's Jelly on your grilled cheese yet, you are in for a treat. As we say here at Kelly's Jelly, it is THE PERFECT COMPLIMENT to this classic. We've made (and loved) several variations, and this recipe from @heykatbabe is one of our favorites.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 2 T butter (or mayo)
- 1 T whipped cream cheese
- 1/2 C Colby Jack cheese
- 2 T Kelly’s Strawberry Habanero Pepper Jelly
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-low heat.
- Spread 1/2 T of butter (or mayo) on each slice of bread. Lay butter side down on a plate or cutting board.
- Spread 1/2 T whipped cream cheese and 1 T of Kelly’s Strawberry Habanero Pepper Jelly on both pieces.
- Sprinkle 1/4 C colby jack onto each of the cream cheese covered pieces of bread. Take the top pieces of bread and assemble the sandwiches, butter side out.
- Place in hot skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Check often to make sure you don’t burn them. Flip and cook again until golden and the cheese is melted.
